Was spirit airlines really THAT BAD?
I understand the concept of " you get what you pay for" and my expectations are low, but I am worried nonetheless. We are departing from chicago in the early am, and when we arrive in fort lauderdale we have about 45 minutes to connect to head to cancun. Is this enough time? If I missed the flight, so would about 100 other people would they just strand hundreds of people from chicago in FLL if say the chicago departure time made everyone miss the flight. We don't travel, like ever. We never take vacations, and based on negative reviews online, I'm quietly panicking inside every day.I booked the vacation through funjet so the flight plan was pretty set. Please someone ease my mind.

Tips for flying with spirit airlines?
First of all, the flight is booked no coulda shoulda woulda answers please. I booked my vacation from chicago to cancun with funjet. I booked knowing nothing about this airline, with not even a thought to google reviews flying is a huge inconvenience anyways. Well, everyone and their mother has nothing but negative things to say about this airline. So if someone can answer these questions, it would help. Should I check in online first? Do they really cancel and change their flights ALL THE TIME? Can I pre check in my bags online too? Or do I still have to wait in the check in line? Should I really choose my seat before the flight or should I take my chances? I have 2 kids ages 1 and 3. Any answers would help, thanks

What does spirit airlines Consider an unacompanied minor?
my friend lives like 4 hours away from me but we still both live in florida & were trying to find the cheapest airline thatll let some1 her age 13 fly but without that unaccompanied minor fee , spirit airlines is the cheapest airline we found but idk if it will let her fly without me having to pay that fee .. since she wont have an adult to acompany her, So does any1 know if your able to somehow able to take off that fee & how much does it cost?

ok so, spirit airlines says that the dimensions for a personal item need to be 16x14x12, so i was planning on bringing my backpack. BUT, my backpack has the dimensions of 17x11x13, which is only 1 square inch larger, but could i still bring it without being charged extra?edit my backpack actually has the dimensions of 17x13x12 so only the length is 1 inch too large

Spirit airlines luggage dimensions?
i've been to the spirit airlines luggage policy and have been advised that the total dims of a checked luggage must not exceed more than 62 linear inches Length width height . the problem is my piece of luggage dims out at 61 63 linear inches. depending whether you measure every little aspect of the luggage. i wouldnt mind just winging it and going to the airport but the penalty for oversized luggage is 100 per trip, which is absurd. what are the odds of them penalizing me with this charge for a mere inch or 2.
