How is it that some people claim they rack up hundreds of thousands of airline miles a?
year by applying for bank credit cards? These people claim that they get 20,000 to 25,000 airline miles just for opening an account, then close the account after they have used the miles for travel. The thing that I don't understand the most is that people claim to fly for free on international long haul routes, or even in business class, using bonus miles they acquire by signing up for several different credit cards. How is this possible? The average long haul flight costs 80,000 120,000 miles. These people are getting 20,000 25,000 miles ON EACH CARD, which means that they will only have enough miles for several domestic flights. It's not like they can put all the miles they get from different cards into one bucket, and use them however they want. So, how are these people traveling on long international flights?

Does anyone have any extra/unused delta airline miles?
I am flying to Minnesota in 2 weeks. I'd really like to bring my 2 year old son with me. Originally he wasn't going to come but I just can't be away from him that long, its very important to me. I am going to my best friends wedding, i'm really in a bind. Any ideas? Delta says if he's over 2 I have to pay full price on a ticket.

Airline miles question?
For someone who is new to the whole airline miles thing I was wondering how many trips would you have to take before earning enough mileage for a free flight. Also I signed up to get airline miles through a particular airline while I was booking my plane tickets for April. When do I get credit for those, do I get credit all, do I have to wait to actually take the flight to get credit???Jetblue

I am falling short of 28 american airlines miles to book a trip; What are my options besides driving or paying?
Hi,I am falling short of 28 american airline miles. I called up and was told that I have to buy miles in multiple of 1000 and 1000 miles are $28 $30 transaction fee which is crazy. With tax total is up to $88.I checked other options like AAdvantage Dining and buying through bing rewards. They all say it will take at least 2 weeks for miles to be credited to the account. I am afraid I might lose the flight in 2 weeks that I am targetting. What do you experts suggest ?
